Heres a posible deck listing for you :-
Lands
20 Mountains
Creatures
4 Karplusan Wolverine
4 Sootstroke Kindler
4 Keldon Marauders
4 Tattermunge Duo
4 Scuzzback Marauders/ or Gathan Raiders ( the marauders have persist and trample the raiders can be a 5/5 when your hand is empty which can happen often with this deck)
Spells
4 Tarfire
4 Incinerate
4 Lash Out
4 Riftbolt
4 Giant Baiting
Sideboards
4 Hurly Burly (against 1/1 weenies/saprloings/some elves rats goblins etc)
4 Burn Trail (extra burn when played with conspire like 2 incinerate with the same casting cost + having to tap 2 creatures for conspire) could be changed if you don't like it
4 intimidator Initiate (to tap opponents creature so that your creatures damage goes through cost 1 mana and you must play a red spell in the 1st palce so maybe to conditional ?)
3 inner Flame accolyte ( played with eveoke 2 red gives a creature +2/0 and haste until end of turn or for 3 red as a hastened 4/2)
All these can and probably will be changed
( no doubt your fellow clanmates will comment/suggest tell you what's wrong with my suggested deck) but with their input it could possibly be evolved into a tourney viable deck.
An ideal game (i e goldfishing) would be something like this :-
Turn 1 play mountain cast karplusan wolverine
Turn 2 play mountain cast Sootstroke kindler attack with both (kindler has haste) for 2 damage Life Total 18
Turn 3 play mountain cast Keldon Marauders (deals 1 damage as it comes into play) attakc with wolverine and marauder (haste from kindler) Life Total 13
Tuen 4 play mountain cast Giant baiting with conspire (wolverine kindler) attack with tokens and marauder for 11 damage Life Total 2
Turn 5 Marauder deals 1 damage as it leaves play cast tarfire/incinerate for the win
Points to note when playing this deck always attack with they wolverine (it only gets its 1 damage bonus whilst attacking nit when defending
) except when using it to conspire when casting the giant baiting.
Use the Kindler to give creatures coming into play haste ( like the marauders in the above example) it can get extra damage.
Keep your burn spells for creature removal ( especially lash out which is only useful against creatures but can with luck deal damage to your opponent it can also be useful late in game to thin out your land draws ) or to deal the final points of damage to win a game.
Anyway this is my offering for you its simple to play, it has to be as i'm still fairly new to magic and not a very good player (which those of you who have played me will know) But its fun to play
and isn't that what magic is all about ?
Regards
Harry
