I am not really sure what format this deck falls under. I think it will be in Extended, but it has some TS cards. So I will have to swap them out. Yes, I know TS will be legal in Extended for a bit more, but I like to be ahead.

As a side note, this deck is named after my favorite band; Gnarkill.

Lands (20):

4 Terramorphic Expanse
6 Plains
10 Forest

Creature (15):

4 Aura Gnarlid
4 Citanul Woodreaders
4 Elvish Visionary
3 Caravan Escort

Non-Creature (25):

2 Journey to Nowhere
3 Explore
3 Snake Umbra
2 Fertile Ground
2 Sigil of the Nayan Gods
2 Naturalize
3 Hyena Umbra
2 Oakenform
3 Pentarch Ward
3 Gift of the Gargantuan

It's a really simple concept, one I am sure has been made hundreds of times by much better players then myself, but I like this deck and I made it from scratch. I started working on this before I played MTGO and was doing this on MWS and with friends at my game store. Simple concept: Cast Auras, Gnarlid gets big, Gnarlid eats my opponents face off.

I had one match where by turn 7 or 8 I had 4 10/10 Gnarlids. There are a few things I would change about it, the Caravan Escorts seem to be doing fine tho. W for a 1/1 that for 2 becomes a 2/2 and since the Aura can be on anything to boost the Gnar, I can have an Escort fully enchanted with only one level up counter and still swing in with a huge Gnarlid.

I do feel like the Woodreaders server little purpose. By the time I have 6 mana to get the double draw out of them, I already grabbed what I needed with Explore or GotG. I am also looking to add Rancor, Armadillo Cloak, and Ancestral Mask which in play testing outside of MTGO has generated insanely large Gnars in a short amount of time (Gnar + Mask + Hyena = 7/7 First Strike, unblockable by 6 pow or lower at the low, low cost of 4GGW, which is do able fairly quick)

I'd look to getting your rancors, they should be quite cheap now that Urza's legacy is here.
I often include a Citanul Woodreaders in my singleton decks, and many times I wish it was something better. When I need it to block they always seem to have removal or a flyer, when I want some draw I don't have any mana left to cast what I drew, and then as an attacker it's really bad. It's one of those cards that's only ever good if you're winning.

Hopefully I can grab Rancor, would be really sweet.

I feel the same way about the Woodreaders. Woodreaders are REALLY good with R/G DraziRamp tho. I've been able to get them out as soon as turn 5 and still have mana left to cast what I drew.

Replace:

Citanul Woodreaders - For anything that can draw, reveal to get cards, or serve any better purpose. My draw seems fine enough and I don't really need a 1/4 for 6 ... It ends up being discard fodder ...

Pentarch Ward - This seems to be biting me in the ass more then it helps me. The draw is the best part, but I usually end up not needing the protection and giving my creature pro-White which stops Journey/ORing, but I think Shielding Plax would most likely be a better choice and if I am grabbing Rancor, I might as well not worry about what format I am in.

I am also thinking of adding Trace of Abundance, it helps boost my mana output as well as giving the Gnar another +1/+1. I'm also thinking of running Prophetic Prism, 2 for a draw and it helps combat Spreading Seas.
